Work in progress (wandering art society)
Finally got started on ten tiny canvases for a new collaborative project I’ve started- Wandering Art Society. This is a group project with some of my fellow Handmade Philly members. We’re all making some art, then trading it amongst ourselves, then leaving it in random places for people to find. I’ve been wanting to do a project like this for a while but never got around to it. I got stuck debating with myself about if I should put my name on the pieces or not. I liked the idea of the person who finds the art being able to get in touch, but it felt like some sort of icky self-promotional gimmick until I decided to make it more of a group project. It’s a lot more fun this way too!
