Being an intrepid businessperson (or slightly insane), I bundled myself and my bins of art and jewelry in the car and headed off to Greensgrow Farms for the Very Kensington Christmas craft fair, despite the snow and fears that nobody would come out and buy anything. Much to my surprise there was a steady if slow trickle of people, and at least I made my table fee back. Not a stellar day for sales, but I did trade two necklaces for two awesome terrariums from Stablemates (she doesn’t have the terrariums listed on her Etsy site since they are a pain to ship), and I bought some of the BEST vegan dark chocolate truffles I’ve ever had, from Baked, and some yummy vegan cookies and donuts from NorthPortFishington Cookie Company. And I had fun taking pictures of the snow that was clinging to the top and sides of the greenhouse. I left early since the snow was still coming down and I didn’t want to deal with the drive home after dark. It was a bit of a disappointment that the weather was bad, because it was a cool place for a show and I’m sure it would have been super-successful if the weather was more cooperative.
