May 16- Trenton Ave. Arts Festival
Next event coming up- Saturday May 16 is Trenton Avenue Arts Festival. This will be my first year participating in this event, but I hear through the grapevine that last year’s event was a lot of fun. I didn’t participate last year because A) I saw a listing for it and stupidly thought “Trenton? I don’t want to drive to Trenton!” and B) I was afraid of doing an outdoor show and getting rained on or burnt to a crisp.
Luckily both situations have been rectified, since I finally caught on that there was a Trenton Avenue right here in Philly, and I have purchased a tent for doing outdoor shows. I also got some fancy mesh sidewalls so I can hang stuff up instead of trying to squeeze as much as I can onto a table. It’s pretty exciting, although now I have the problem of trying to squeeze all this stuff into my not-very-large car.
I remember thinking this was in NJ last yr too…I think a lot of people in Philly have never heard of Trenton Avenue…they should publicize this a little differently bc of that.
