Works in progress, 02-07-09
This morning I finally got to sit down and do some work for a couple of hours. It was one of those times of utter contentment, I felt really focused and I made progress on a couple of little paintings that had been frustrating me for a while. I had some nice tea with lemon because I have been telling myself this winter that if I drink a lot of tea with lemon it will keep me from getting sick. It’s probably BS, but maybe there’s some kind of mind over matter effect, because almost all my coworkers have had nasty colds and I’ve been fine. My ipod seemed psychic this morning, because on shuffle it seemed to pick mostly songs that I really love and that are perfect working songs. Everything seemed to be falling into place beautifully. And then sadly I had to quit and go grocery shopping. Oh well.
