Xray

This book is from my 1998 semester in Rome. One day the “Sketchbook” class I was taking met at the professor’s studio. There was a huge trunk of materials left there by the previous occupant of the studio, and she told us we could take whatever we wanted. I found a book with clear plastic sleeves containing x-rays and ultrasounds. When people look at this book they always ask if they are mine.

Another funny story about this book- I also got a black and white photo of a naked man from the trunk in the professor’s studio, and added it to the book. His head was tilted back so you couldn’t really see his face. We had a critique in class a few weeks later and when the professor saw this photo in my book she got a bit flustered and said “That’s my husband in that photo! Can I please have it back?”
