Finishing up the last paper tonight. Proofreading and all that fun stuff. Then I’ll have one more take-home essay exam and that’s it. Freedom for three weeks until summer semester starts.

It’s funny when I think about how I used to complain about never having enough time to make art, mostly because of spending all day at work. This grad school thing has made me realize that actually I have lots of time, I just don’t use it well. If I have time to go to class two nights a week, write two 20-page research papers, two film reviews, a book review, make a powerpoint presentation, and write a 5-page exam essay, then I should have time to make some art when I no longer have to spend all my time on those things.

Or I may just collapse from exhaustion and spend my free time over the next three weeks lying on the sofa, reading mediocre fiction and dozing.
